Quimixto is a well known and popular beach found between Las Ánimas and Majahuitas, by the La Puerta river mouth, in the southern part of the Banderas Bay. The medium grain sand beach is narrow (25 meters – 77ft wide) and 600m (1900ft) long, mostly with soft waves, lined by local seafood and Mexican food eateries where you’ll find simple, rustic, but tasty local dishes.

The estuary “El Salado”, is located in the municipality of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.It is considered an Urban Estuary, because it is surrounded by the urban area of ??that port.It includes a surface to protect of 168-96-50 hectares , of which approximately 135 hectares correspond to mangrove vegetation and marshes, the rest is formed by two remnants of medium subcaducifolia forest bordered by successions of elements of aquatic and underwater vegetation, spiny forest and secondary vegetation.
